As can be clearly seen from the chart, the ways people know about brands vary from person to person. From the figures given in the chart, we can find that about 50% of people know about brands via the Internet, taking up the largest share. Those who perceive new brands because of the introduction of their friends account for about 21%. And the rest gain brand information by other means, such as TV and newspapers.
It’s not difficult for me to find out some factors to account for the above-mentioned phenomenon. First and foremost of all, with the improvement of people’s living standards, a growing number of people can have access to the Internet, so that it plays an increasingly important role in our daily life. What’s more, there is no doubt that the Internet is making our life become more convenient, so more and more people prefer to know about various aspects via the Internet. Last but not the least, companies have realized the power of the Internet, so they look on it as the most effective means to promote themselves.
From what has been analyzed above, we may reasonably predict that the present situation will continue for quite a while in the forthcoming years. If this trend can be kept and guided properly, our life as well as our society will be made better.
