The line graph above depicts the percentage demand of Hybrid cars over the past six years. In 2008, the requirement was only 4%, but it enjoyed a rapid and steady growth since then. Up to 2014, 19% of Hybrid vehicles are needed to meet the market’s request. This can be explained in the following aspects. First, as petroleum reserve decreases, oil prices continually on the rise, big car companies feel compelled to manufacture less oil dependent machines. Secondly, the growing concern of environment protection is also a factor that shifts people’s choices towards green powered vehicles. Thirdly, with the development of the internet-of-things technology, automobiles become more intelligent. Hybrid or electric cars are more easy to adapt to this trend. In a word, petro resources are irreversible, life quality requires reduction of pollution, and future demands vehicles to be intelligent. These factors combined contribute to the demanding selling of Hybrid cars. I predict that more demands will come in the near future and this is beneficial to our society as a whole.
